Origin

The mascot of the Genm Corp. game DoReMiFa Beat, the character of Poppy Pipopapo was conceived by Kuroto Dan, the teenage son of Genm CEO Masamune Dan. As a Bugster, Poppy's origin is traced to the Y2K bug, which left what would be known as the Bugster Virus on the younger Dan's computer shortly following New Year's 2000. Secretly incubating the virus by infecting the young Emu Hojo with it, Kuroto Dan would arrange for its matured form to be extracted by Michihiko Zaizen ten years later, using it to execute the Zero Day incident in the following year.

The Bugster Poppy Pipopapo had already emerged by the time of Zero Day, having been born from the Bugster Virus infection of Kuroto Dan's mother, Sakurako Dan, her host's life was sacrificed in the process as she succumbed to the Game Disease, thus completing Poppy's existence as a Bugster, and Kuroto also regretting having lost his mother. She was later assigned to be a navigator for the Kamen Riders, taking the guise of "Asuna Karino" in order to blend in more easily.

Zero Day

Finding that the Bugster Virus had been discovered by radiologists Taiga Hanaya and Jiro Maki, Asuna relayed this to Kuroto Dan. The two doctors were then taken to CR to undergo a series of tests concluding with a VR simulation in which, to Poppy's amazement, Taiga displayed exceptional proficiency with the Gashacon Magnum due to his experience in radiology. Impressed with the results, Kuroto chose Taiga to become Kamen Rider Snipe, though Taiga was hesitant to accept. Two weeks later, Asuna alerted Taiga to the case of a Bugster-infected patient whom he had treated before, Sasami Hishinuma. Proceeding to CR, the pair found Maki with a Gamer Driver and the Proto Bang Bang Shooting Gashat, intending to become Snipe in Taiga's place. Too late to stop him, the transformation was initiated by Maki only to fail and infect him with the Game Disease.

Second Bugster Outbreak

Five years later, a second outbreak of the Bugster virus occurred. While Hiiro Kagami had been selected as CR's Rider, Asuna proposed a second candidate: a prodigious and anonymous gamer known only as "M". Lexx on the other had suggesed the more active "N", deferring to his VP Kuroto let LExx do her thing while Poppy was ordered to reopen CR.

When Emu acquired the Gamer Driver and Mighty Action X when a patent infected himself tinking it the new game the Bugster took over the boy's body, wrecking havoc and after the fight Asuna was forced to explain the Bugster virus to Emu, and told him about trying to find someone to use the Driver, not expecting that Emu would take it for himself. Much to her shock, Emu was not only compatible with the system and capable of becoming a Kamen Rider, but he had been M all along. After watching him defeat the Salty Bugster, Asuna finally showed him to CR, revealing her true form as Poppy and christening Emu as Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

Becoming a Kamen Rider

When Genm took Hiiro and Emu’s gashat and drivers Blecker offers an alternative, Emu refused and suggested give the new equipment to Poppy who jumped at the chance and became Kamen Rider Amy where she then proceeded to help out Emu until Genm out of jealousy secretly returned Emu’s driver and gashat.

Long Overdue Upgrade

With the power of Kamen Rider Amy Poppy contues to help as she can wit hthe growing rider war but a level 2 rider can only do so much, it isn’t until much later after Kuroto himself become a catgirl and releases Kamen Rider Chronicle that he gives Poppy a second lease in the battle with her new Buggle Driver and Mighty Princess X to close the power gap.

Poppy Pipopapo was created to serve as a guide to the Riders in CR. She provides insight on the Bugster viruses, the Rider system, and helps to transfer patients to CR if the situation requires it.

Poppy's true personality is bubbly and energetic. As Asuna, however, she takes on a mature and no-nonsense persona, although her normal personality will momentarily surface if she is addressed by her real name. But there have been times when Poppy as Asuna reverts to her true personality on her own free will. Despite being based on a Vocaloid, ironically, it is revealed Poppy cannot sing very well without music to accompany her and causes distress to those around her when she does. It is also revealed during an encounter with Kamen Rider Hibiki that she has a fear of Oni and ran away scared upon first seeing him.

Powers & Abilities

  •  Teleportation – Like the Bugster executives, Poppy is capable of entering any level selected by the Kamen Riders.
  •  Dance Influence – Poppy can influence Bugster Viruses into a rhythm dance.
  •  Hebitsukai Snake Eyes Immunity – Presumably thanks to her Bugster nature, she's unaffected by Naga Ray's immobilization.
  •  Costume Change – Poppy can change her clothes at will, as well as take a second human form.
  •  Imortality – As a complete Bugster she will respawn stronger if killed.
  •  Super Speed – Synergizing with the Sonic Heroes Gashat has given her the power to move as super speed.
  •  Ball – Synergizing with the Sonic Heroes Gashat has given her the power to curl up into a ball.
  •  Canine Physiology - Power to use the abilities of canines/werewolves (Werewolf Physiology).
    •  Enhanced Athleticism - possesses athletic abilities beyond even the most dedicated training.
    •  Regenerative Healing Factor - possesses the ability to heal rapidly from any physical injury.
    •  Claw Extension - Has non retract razor-sharp claws of keratin, from their fingertips/feet for various (mostly offensive) purposes.
    •  Enhanced Agility - can go from one motion to another effortlessly, effectively dodge attacks, swing from things easily, sprint, do back-flips, leap across rooftops, and numerous other gymnastic, athletic and martial implements with little to no effort.
      Agility is "the ability to rapidly respond or change by adapting its initial stable configuration", the ability to change the body's position efficiently, and requires the integration of isolated movement skills using a combination of balance, bodily coordination, speed, reflexes, strength and endurance.
    •  Enhanced Balance - has both extremely well developed sense of balance, the positioning of limbs and the center of balance as well as the physical condition to use these facts. This combination makes them almost impossible to being knocked down/imbalanced, falling down and able to recover from momentary imbalances near instantly. is able to perfectly balance on any object, no matter how narrow or unstable it may be.
    •  Enhanced Bite - has a particularly strong bite, because of sharp fangs/teeth, Exactly what they can bite depends on the jaw-strength, resilience of their teeth/bite-surface and their shape.
    •  Enhanced Senses - has extremely accurate senses, allowing them to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel better than an average member of their species.
    •  Night Vision - has has excellent night vision, the ability to see in low light conditions or even total darkness. Whether by biological or technological means, night vision is made possible by a combination of two approaches: sufficient spectral range, and sufficient intensity range.
    •  Enhanced Flexibility - is able to bend and twist their body beyond the normal limits of physiology, although still only from the joints. Their hypermobile joints, muscles, tendons and physiology in general allow the user perform near-boneless looking contortions without stress or damage and stay in any position they choose as long they need without effort or strain.
    •  Enhanced Leap - can jump farther than average members of their species. They can leap farther than even the greatest human athlete. Impressive feats include being able to jump over large fences, clear big holes in the ground, jump from building top to building top, and etc.
    •  Enhanced Speed - The power to possess speed enhanced beyond that of a normal member of the user's species.
    •  Lunar Empowerment - becomes stronger, faster, more durable, etc. when they come into contact with a moon, moonlight, or lunar energy/substance, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing their existing powers. Some users may be able to draw sustenance from the moon or even slow or stop aging.
    •  Lunar Mind - when under the effects of the moon mentall revertal to a moral primal states, they howl to informs other wolves if their location, have enhanced labido, and tend to only concerm themselves with more primal needs like survival, mating, and hunting. The more full the moon the more pronounced the effects.
    •  Lycanthropic_Infection - possesses the power to transform others into wolfgirls through her mere presense, also acts as a signal booster for other wolf girls infection aura, expanding the range.

  •  Two Energy Blades – As Poppy Pipopapo, she can turn a knife and a fork into energy blades that she can either attack an enemy with or break a Chocolate Block from the Mighty Action X Gashat to receive an Energy Item.
  •  Hammer Time – Synergizing with the Sonic Heroes Gashat has given her the power to summon Amy's Piko PikoHammer at will.
